Interest on all loans is calculated using the simple interest method. By using this method you are only charged interest on the loan for the exact length of time you have the loan.
Refinance
If you have loans at other financial institutions such as car loans, motorcycle loans, or signature loans, maybe we can help! If you qualify for a rate that's lower than your current loan somewhere else, we'd be happy to refinance that loan and save you on interest. We also rate match! Remember, you can save even more if you do direct deposit!

Types of Accounts
Share/Savings Accounts
The first step to membership is a minimum deposit of only $5.00. Once you have established this account, you are eligible to apply for any service provided by South Bend Transit FCU. If eligible, your immediate family can also become members and enjoy the many benefits of credit union membership.
Christmas Club Accounts
This account will help you save for that special time of year. Deposits can start the first day of the year through October. Funds from this account are distributed in the second week of October.
Share Certificate Accounts
Our share certificate accounts are a great way to save and earn! A minimum deposit of $5,000 is required to open. See our "About Us" page for details on our share certificate terms and rates.
Other accounts are available upon request by the member.
Member Benefits
Courtesy Pay — Weekly loans payment can be deducted from your paycheck and the CU will automatically make your loan payment for the loan on the due date. Do this and qualify for a 0.50% discount rate on your loans!
Direct Deposit — Direct Deposit into your savings and save money! Ask us for our routing number (271-291-813) and set everything up through your payroll company. Do this and qualify for a 0.50% discount rate if you have loans!
Funds are insured by the NCUA for up to $250,000.00.
CUNA Credit Disability Insurance — If you are off work sick or injured for more than 30 days this insurance will pay your loan payment starting from day 1 of illness/injury. The premium is added at the time of your loan and included in your monthly repayment.
ACH Origination- Effective 6/1/2022 we can now pull ACH withdraws from other financial institutions. This makes making loan payments and deposits/withdraws from member accounts so much more efficient and convenient for our members!
